Virtualization has taken IT by storm over the past few years. Starting with server virtualization, IT shops have now turned their eyes toward other critical infrastructure areas, including desktop virtualization. Desktone enables enterprises to take advantage of desktop virtualization without the significant costs and risks normally associated with deploying packaged software solutions.
There is much hope and promise for cloud computing and the impact many expect it to have on enterprise IT. While most attention to date has been around moving enterprise server workloads into the cloud, Desktone believes that it will actually be desktops that lead the charge.
Software is rapidly evolving from packaged products that enterprises purchase and deploy internally to services that they access over the Internet.
